[GUIDE] Metin2 PvP & PvM Items
Hello! As the title suggests, this is a beginner’s guide for Metin2, and it might also help experts. 😉 I’ll explain why you need those bonuses in detail.
The first guide is for PvP, and I will provide a detailed breakdown.
1. Weapons
Warrior Race
Universal + Duel Set
Mental
Triton Sword – Bonuses [12 Power, 12 Vitality, 10 Critical, 10 Semi-Human, 20 Charm]
Why? Because charm speed and critical on magic are essential for the mental warrior; the hit doesn’t help much except against some races.
Stones [Anti-Race (warrior, ninja, sura, shaman), Fatal Stone, Charm Stone]
Again, charm speed and critical are essential.
For two-handed weapons, the same applies.
Aura
Triton Sword – Bonuses [12 Power, 20 Charm, 10 Critical, 10 Penetration, 10 Semi-Human]
Why charm? And penetration? Because charm greatly boosts skills like Strike and Incision, while penetration comes from the hit.
Stones [Anti-Race (warrior, ninja, sura, shaman), Fatal Stone, Charm Stone]
Here, critical and charm apply to the skill, and even the hit.
For two-handed weapons, the same applies.
Ninja Race
Daggers
Daggers – Bonuses [12 Power, 12 Dexterity, 10 Critical, 10 Penetration, 10 Semi-Human]
Why? In the ninja race, you need penetration from the hit, critical on skill, and charm is not very important in duels, as you won’t usually get two skill rounds, except against sura.
Stones [Anti-Race (warrior, ninja, sura, shaman), Fatal Stone, Penetration Stone]
Again, critical and penetration are essential for ninja due to how fast they attack with daggers.
Recommendation: For BM sura, I recommend replacing Fatal with Charm so you can achieve two skill rounds in a duel, but this depends on the server’s damage values.
Bow
Bows – Bonuses [12 Power, 12 Dexterity, 10 Critical, 20 Charm, 10 Semi-Human]
Many of you might ask why charm instead of penetration. Well, penetration is mostly from the hit, and as tested on a bow ninja, charm helps a lot with skills. You won’t hit much unless you go for a female character.
Stones [Anti-Race (warrior, ninja, sura, shaman), Fatal Stone, Charm Stone]
Charm is very important for ninja bow.
ATTENTION! Ninja bow can run away from a duel anytime they wish! It’s a long-range race.
Sura Race
Weapons
Triton Sword – Bonuses [12 Intelligence, 12 Power, 10 Critical, 10 Penetration, 10 Semi-Human]
With sura weapons, you will deal lots of damage from the hit, with the advantage of Wasting, but it has a downside. The downside is that wasting consumes 5-6 seconds during which the enemy can cast 2 magic spells or 6-8 hits. I recommend not starting with wasting in duels, except when fighting your own race [Weapons/BM].
Stones [Anti-Race (warrior, ninja, sura, shaman), Fatal Stone, Penetration Stone]
Again, critical and hit skills are essential!
Black Magic [BM]
Holy Sword – Bonuses [12 Intelligence, 12 Dexterity, 20 Charm, 10 Semi-Human, 10 Critical]
Why? Sura BM doesn’t need any hit at all, except in some duels to keep the opponent down, so they can’t hit you. BM sura relies more on skills.
ATTENTION! Sura BM can run away from duels anytime they wish! It’s a long-range race.
Stones [Anti-Race (warrior, ninja, sura, shaman), Fatal Stone, Charm Stone]
Critical and charm speed are essential for BM sura.
Shaman Race
I’ll return with an update after I test on the server! [Max 2 days]
2. Universal & Semi-Universal Accessories & Armor
Universal Set
I believe 80% of you know how to create a universal set, but if not, here’s a breakdown:
Necklace / Armor / Shoes – Max HP, Sword Defense, Dagger Defense, Bow Defense, Two-Handed Weapon Defense.
Bracelet – Max HP, Semi-Human, Penetration, Magic Resistance, HP Absorption.
Explanation for HP Absorption: It’s a useful bonus, especially in duels! When you hit the opponent, you regain some HP.
Helmet – Magic Resistance, Semi-Human, Attack Speed, Poison Chance, HP Regeneration.
Earrings – Sword Defense, Dagger Defense, Two-Handed Weapon Defense, Bow Defense, Semi-Human.
Semi-Universal Set
Not many know this term. It’s a universal set but doesn’t include a defense bonus. On some servers, two-handed weapons don’t evolve, and this is a benefit for putting critical on those items.
Necklace / Shoes – Max HP, Sword Defense, Dagger Defense, Bow Defense, Critical Hit.
Earrings – Sword Defense, Dagger Defense, Bow Defense, Semi-Human, Poison Resistance/Movement Speed (depends on the server).
Armor – Max HP, Sword Defense, Dagger Defense, Bow Defense, Attack Value/Charm Speed.
(Depends on race: I recommend for Ninja Blade/Bow, Warrior Aura/Mental, Shaman Dragon/Healing, Sura Weapons with Attack Value bonus, and BM Sura with Charm Speed).
Helmet – Same as universal.
Bracelet – Same as universal.
3. Duel Accessories & Armor
Accessories: For most races, you’ll use the same accessories unless you want a different necklace (Pearl/White Gold/Jade).
Armor: For each race, it’s the same! Bonuses include [Max HP, Attack Value, Charm Speed, Body Reflection, Sword/Dagger/Two-Handed Weapon/Bow Defense]. If there’s no Body Reflection bonus, add two defenses (e.g., Sword and Dagger).
Earrings: Same for each race! Bonuses include [Semi-Human, Sword/Dagger/Two-Handed Weapon/Bow Defense, Poison Resistance, and if available, Movement Speed].
Shoes: Same for each race! Bonuses include [Max HP, Sword/Dagger/Two-Handed Weapon/Bow Defense, Critical, Attack Speed (optional, if the server has that bonus)]. I recommend adding two defenses, like Sword and Dagger.
Necklace: Same for each race! Like the shoes, except instead of Attack Speed, add another defense. Or if you have a Pearl/White Gold/Jade necklace, use Penetration instead of three defenses, giving you two.
Bracelet: Same as universal!
Helmet: Same as universal!
4. PvM Guide
For those passionate about PvM (hard/medium/easy, etc.), I’ve created a tutorial below! I hope it’s helpful, as these are many of the items I’ve used and have succeeded in the PvM concept.
Weapons
In almost all PvMs, you’ll find FM weapons in the shop or poisoned ones from drops. These are, of course, the most important for PvM as they provide Average Damage and Competence Damage bonuses.
For those who don’t know what Average Damage and Competence Damage are, look below:
Average Damage: Found on weapons level 30 and 75. It benefits your hit damage. 10% Average Damage = 12 Power. This is the equivalent of a known bonus.
Competence Damage: Found on weapons level 30 and 75. It benefits magic hits! (Spells/Skills). 10% Competence = 80-100 Magic Attack Value. This is the equivalent of a known bonus.
PvM Weapons Bonuses For those with Average Damage: A decent damage value, at least 45. Along with it, you should have Semi-Human, Devil, Vampires, Critical, Penetration, and Power.
Why are these bonuses important? Where do they help?
Semi-Human: Always useful in any map, regardless of the monsters.
Devil: Helps in V3 and V4, especially for Beran-Setaou. It’s essential if you want to defeat the Blue Dragon or progress through V3-V4.
Vampires: Essential in the Demon Tower! You need vampires to beat the Reaper with a Scythe and other floors.
Critical: Critical is crucial in PvM because it helps you deal double damage to monsters.
Penetration: It boosts your damage and gives an extra 200-600 damage against mobs when it lands.
Power: Another essential bonus. As I mentioned earlier, 12 Power = 10% Average Damage.
Armors
It depends on which map you’re on! For maps below level 75, you don’t need any special bonus. Below are some essential bonuses:
Maps below level 75
- Max HP – At least 1k HP.
- Attack Value – At least 20.
- HP Absorption – On some PvMs.
These three bonuses are essential for maps below level 75. P.S. In the Demon Tower, you’ll need arrows!
Maps above level 75 I’ll list the required bonuses for different map sections:
V3-V4-V5 -> You need:
- Attack Value – At least 20.
- Max HP – At least 1500.
- Sword Defense – At least 10.
- Bow Defense – Max.
Why do you need these defenses? Arrows for archers, swords for fighters. Magic Resistance is on steel, and it protects you from Setaou magicians.
Red Forest – No special bonus is needed here. Just a bit of magic resistance for dryads or lightning; both have been tested and work fine.
