This game hasn’t changed in over 15 years
I recently started playing again after taking a break of over 15 years. I used to play Metin2 back in my childhood, around 2008–2010, and honestly, I’m really disappointed to see that the game hasn’t changed at all. In fact, it’s even worse now.
So, what do I mean by that?
Well, for starters hackers. Everywhere. Every map, every channel, every corner of the game is crawling with low-level bots that insta-kill everything. I’ve been back for about a week now, and I see at least 10–20 of these accounts every single day. Then you’ve got the classic chat spammers offering you 9999 won for 1€ or whatever nonsense they’re pushing. And nothing happens. No bans. No actions taken. It’s like the devs just gave up. That’s what I meant when I said the game hasn’t changed they never bothered cleaning up the mess.
And as for how it got worse…
It’s more pay-to-win than ever. Yeah, I get it Metin2 always had p2w elements. But back in the day, those options were limited. You couldn’t just swipe your way to the top instantly. Now? Just pull out your credit card and bam you’re a hero in a few days. It’s honestly disheartening. There’s no real competition anymore unless you’re ready to invest heavily into Alchemy, scarfs, talismans, and all these new cash-grab systems. The game isn’t just pay-to-win anymore it’s pay-to-exist.
